Quick note: Take a look at the tree. Notice the white stringed lights. I was at Target and thought, "wow, they have white strings now. That should blend better with the tree than the green." So I bought them. As I was walking out of the store, I thought, "wow, I'm not so bright. I bet the white lights are for white trees." I put them on anyway.
