Books on Our Reading "Desks"

Just to let you know what we're reading:

Matt:
1.) The Bible.
2.) The Drama of Doctrine: A Canonical-Linguistic Approach to Christian Theology by Kevin Vanhoozer.

Naomi:
1.) The Bible.
2.) Touchpoints: Birth to 3 by T. Berry Brazelton, M.D.
3.) Secrets of the Baby Whisperer for Toddlers by Tracy Hogg.
4.) A few others I don't about which I am unaware.

Sam:
1.) Clifford: The Big Red Dog.
2.) The Monster at the End of the Book.
3.) The Little Engine that Could.
4.) Spot Goes to the Farm.
5.) Where's Spot?
6.) Green Eggs and Ham.

Sam's list is too long, but needless to say, he's put Naomi and me to shame with the length of his list (though, we often join him in reading these books). Sam has told me that he thinks the fundamental message of Green Eggs and Ham has implications both good and bad for society at large.

This blog totally confused me. Number 1: I thought you were referring to me with that reading list, which I thought was weird. Then I realized you are talking about your 2 year old. Number 2: when I saw the picture entitled "Sammy and Daddy" I thought I was on Andre Agassi's blog site. It wouldn't be the first time I've accidentally ended up on his blog site, but don't get me started on that story....

By the way, I heard a rumor that Cory Cavin is a big fan of Celene Dion. I don't know if it's true, but I'm choosing to believe it.

Okay be honest, you made this post because one day you realized...wow...I'm reading a book with a great title that makes me look really smart...If i'm ever to show people what i'm reading, now is the time, because normally it consists of books like "Jiv'n with God in the Funky Lands" and "The Life You've Always Wanted But Could Never Have Before You Read My Book".

You're just jealous because you know that I know that I'm reading a smart people book. Maybe you should read a smart people book once in awhile Mr. "I'm jealous because I don't know what 'canonical' has to do with 'linguistic'."
